D.C. Reeves
Star Scrapbook
Take a look at some of the star happenings
at D.C. Reeves.

Gingerbread houses are
constructed by
fourth graders each year at Christmas.

Many times during the
year the students at
D.C.Reeves dress up to correlate
with some unit of study. Freaky Feet Day,
Hat Day, Inside Out Day, and Camoflauge Day
are a few of those. Dress-up Day for
Reading Cluster Project"Make 'Em Laugh"
is shown here.

This field trip to the airport is one of many taken.

Principal for the
day is the reward
for the highest fundraiser.

The Strawberry Shack
in third grade
helps to prepare for the
Louisiana Strawberry
Festival in Ponchatoula
in April of each year.

A Christmas program and a Spring
program
are held each year. "Mele Kalikimaka"
is from the fourth grade program,
"Christmas Around the World."

Every year the Yearbook Cover
Contest is held to see which student's art work will grace the cover of
the D.C. Reeves' Yearbook. A special autographing session is held to honor
this student.

D.C. Reeves has two fabulous secretaries
who are invaluable to the success of the school.

Mr. Leonard Kraft is D.C. Reeves'
adopted grandparent. He donates time each week to work with the children
by tutoring, supervising specific projects, and offering his expertise
in many areas.

Student teachers from
Southeastern Louisiana
University work in some classrooms at D.C. Reeves.

Friendships are formed
at D.C. Reeves
that last forever.
