D.C. Reeves Dance Team
The D.C. Reeves Dance Team is made up of 25 third
and fourth grade girls. The team is sponsored by Mrs. Miriam Wyble and
Ms. Ashley Green. The Dance Team practices on the average of three afternoons
a week to prepare for the many appearances they make. The girls perform
at half-time shows of football games for the local semi-pro team, high
schools, and junior high schools. They can also be seen high stepping in
local parades and basketball games. During the 1996-97 school year the
D.C. Reeves Dance Team was asked to perform at a Southeastern Louisiana
University basketball game. For "An Evening with the Arts" the
girls did a fabulous routine using four different props. Girls tryout at
the beginning of each school year for a coveted place on the Dance Team.
